Each year, it attracts 150,000+ eco-conscious urban singles, couples, and families to the sunny beachside community of Venice on the last Sunday in September.

In addition to giving back to the community, the festival is best known for its unique array of local artisan crafts, live music, good food, and commitment to the environment. Activities and areas are designed to complement the eclectic, cutting-edge mix of over 100 boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, bookstores, design firms, coffee shops, clubs, salons, and much more along the famed bohemian-chic shopping district of Abbot Kinney Blvd., which stretches one mile from Venice Blvd. to Main St.”

Good Food Festival Santa Monica

Today, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 the Good Food Festival and Conference is at Santa Monica High School. Attendees can purchase products and ready to eat food from exhibitors such as farmers, artisan food producers, restaurants, sustainable businesses, and food trucks that source products from the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market. The speaker series includes many national and local leaders as attendees immerse themselves in two days of stimulating programming during Good Food for Thought.

FLEWNT SEVENS ART

When most people think of graffiti, they think of outdoor murals and tags created with spray paint. While the streets are the most popular place to write graffiti, the truth is that writing in graffiti can be done with just a writing utensil and blank canvas or recycled material.

Flewnt creates with many sizes and mediums. He was inspired to create a collection of smaller pieces that incorporate all his style and depth. He decided to create the baby collection, which he makes from scratch with recycled wood and materials. They are each raw and unique. Each quality piece employs two or three dimensions and multiple colors. In many cases, 10 or more layers of paints are used to complete a piece. Flewnt believes ART outlives it creator and functions like a DNA sample which identifies the artist and expresses his message.
